You already know we're beyond 4 times the original funding request for my book, The Opportunity.
And now to have reached 500 individual backers? WOW! This has truly been a humbling experience, and I know it's because every backer sees the chance to touch their own lives with this book, and to touch other lives as well.
Which got me to thinking… What if we can DOUBLE the impact of The Opportunity in the next 10 days?
I'm not talking about doubling the funding… I'm talking about getting another 500 backers! On the surface this seems impossible to me. After all, the bulk of our backers came in the first couple of days. What makes me – or us – think we could double the number of backers? And then I realized…
If I can enlist YOUR help! If each backer would be good enough to go out and find just 1 additional person willing to back this project in the next two weeks, we'd easily reach the 1,000 backer stretch goal. Wouldn't that be wonderful?! Wouldn't it be AMAZING?
Of course, I know I'm asking a lot. If you're going to help in this way, you'll have to send emails or talk to people about The Opportunity, and I realize you have other stuff going on in your life. You're busy. You've got a bunch of urgencies right in front of you all the time. I'm the same way, so I get it.
But again, wouldn't it be great to be an even bigger part of something as incredible as this? In about a month when books start going out to people, a large number of people are going to finally put aside their excuses and GO FOR IT!Wouldn't it be great if it was twice as many?!
I also realize I need to do my part to encourage you and reward you for the kindness you'll be doing for this project, and for me personally.
So here's what I've come up with…
IF we can reach 1,000 backers by the time the Kickstarter campaign ends, I will give every single backer a 5X7 print of the ship AND a greeting card with another illustration from the book BOTH FOR FREE, as my personal thank you for helping me spread this book's critical message.
Doesn't matter if you signed up for a 1-book reward initially, or for 5 or 10 books. Every backer will get a FREE5X7 print AND a greeting card, IF we can get to a grand total of 1,000 individual backers or more.
Won't you help me try? Not just for me or yourself, but for the other lives you can touch with this life-changing message.
